Automotive Technology

Students gain hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance diagnosis and repair. Students work on vehicles to develop industry skills. Careers are abundantly available in automotive dealerships and independent garages. Upon completion of this program students may gain employment as an apprentice mechanic or continue with more advanced post secondary training.

Earn up to 1.5 credits per semester. 1.0 for the class, 0.5 for Applied Math credit.

Automotive Collision Repair
June 26 - July 19. Students will learn wire feed welding, masking, sanding,
body work, painting of vehicles and safety rules in the auto body collision repair field. Dress Code: shorts okay/closed toe shoes required. Instructor: Helpenstell, PAHS 502.
Summer 2017
Small Engine Repair
June 26 - July 19. Students will have a blast learning about and repairing all
types of small engines.
Dress code: Long pants/closed toe shoes required.
