Students learn work-place safety, welding terminology, Arc welding, gas metal and flux cored Arc welding, cutting techniques, basic blueprint reading, and joint design. Emphasis is placed on necessary proficiency to pass the American Welding Society Certification exams. Up to 15 college credits available, as well as a number of industry certifications. (At Peninsula College campus.) Own transportation is required. Open enrollment August and November each year only based on Peninsula College schedule.
